Dr. Artemis Pipinelli ’06, who earned a Ph.D. in Psychology, was awarded the 2005–06 graduate Psi Chi National Convention Research Award for her dissertation, Psychological Variables and Depression Among Nursing Home and Adult Care Facility Residents. She presented her findings at the New York State Psychological Association’s annual convention and the 26th International Congress of Applied Psychology in Athens, Greece.

 

Karyn Wiens ’06, who earned an M.S. in Psychology, was named dean of the Merced College Los Banos campus.

 

Dr. Debra Rose Wilson ’06, who earned a Ph.D. in Psychology with a specialization in Health Psychology, presented her dissertation, Stress Management for Adult Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse: A Holistic Inquiry, at the 17th International Nursing Research Congress Focusing on Evidence-Based Practice.

 

Dr. Michael Brady ’04, who earned a Ph.D. in Psychology, received full licensure from the state of Michigan.

 

Dr. Josef Passley ’04, who earned a Ph.D. in Psychology, participated in a weeklong round-table discussion on child psychology at Oxford University this summer.

 

Dr. Austin A. Lane ’03, who earned a Ph.D. in Psychology, became the dean of student affairs at Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Texas.

 

Dr. James Price ’03, who earned a Ph.D. in Psychology with a specialization in Health Psychology, received a U.S. patent for prosthetic limb design. Price is a board-certified clinical prosthetist and was one of 13 people inducted this year as a fellow of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists.

 

Dr. Eve G. Weber ’01, who earned a Ph.D. in Psychology, will head the U.S. Navy’s Officer Indoctrination School.

 

 

 

 

Dr. Molly Barrow ’98, who earned a Ph.D. in Psychology, sold out of her book, Matchlines: A Revolutionary New Way of Looking at Relationships and Making the Right Choices in Love, at a reading in Naples, Fla., last fall.
