    Why I Refer

    ..............................

I heard about Walden through one of my supervisors when I was in the Air Force. He was working on his doctoral studies at Walden, and I was intrigued by the emphasis Walden placed on social change. Walden is unique because of its mission to provide adult learners the opportunity to capitalize on their vast experiences. Today, I refer some of my friends, colleagues, and students to Walden—those who have the desire to transform society and the self-motivation to complete the program.

“Walter prompted me to look into the Walden program primarily because he had such an enriching learning experience at the school. After some discussions with representatives of Walden, I decided to enroll.”

“When I told Dr. McCollum which graduate schools I had requested information from, he gave me an overview of each school’s program and then said, ‘You know, I went to Walden. The program is pretty intense, but you can handle it.’ I could never thank Dr. McCollum enough for being my mentor and suggesting that I attend Walden University.”

“Walden’s online and residency program requirements have provided a wonderful gateway to my doctoral studies. The depth and breadth of experience that other students bring to the online environment and the seminars make for an invaluable experience. I would choose Walden again.”

“Being a consultant on community issues in the public school system, it is my goal to build bridges of understanding, respect, and clarity. I needed a university committed to providing adult learners with the educational foundation of understanding human behavior, quality management, and global cultural awareness. Walden provides that opportunity. My ultimate goal is to complete my doctorate at Walden.”
